dsh --profile <name> replaces the fixed entry modes: --config and -p are
removed, --patch adds overlays over the composed profile, a positional task
selects one-shot mode (requires the headless-runner row), and dsh web stays as
the alias for --profile web carrying the Web flag family as patches. dsh
plugin --profile <name> forwards verbatim to pnpm in the profile directory,
initializes on first use, and reconciles the dsh.plugins layer list after
add/remove (patch-less packages warn and stay plain dependencies). Config
dumps and the keyless web e2e scaffold compose the same bundle layers over the
same empty root as the boot.
The react-loop simplification folds the workspace baseline into the first
entering request, so the --dev CLI smoke no longer sees a workspace-free
probe request before the projected one. Resolve on the first provider request
and drop the obsolete no-workspace initial assertions.
Resolve the agent-loop import conflict by retaining both durable request context and runtime policy context. Refresh the combined session fixtures and regenerate documentation catalogs. Mark PDF artifacts as binary so staged whitespace checks do not parse PDF bytes as text.
Master gained a web-search e2e scenario that calls connectFreshWorkspace
with the pre-change one-argument signature, which fails to compile against
the test-merge commit CI builds. Give it the scaffold's workspace root like
every other scenario.
Master also gained the first-run welcome notice. The shared scaffold
acknowledges it before boot, but the W5 smoke spawns its own server against
a fresh $DSH_HOME, so its overlay owns pointer events and swallows the
first click on the workspace chip; the scenario now dismisses the notice
first. The notice is anchored structurally because this spec belongs to the
client TypeScript program, which does not reference the package owning its
copy.
Both Workspace surfaces offered "Open local folder…" and "Create a new
workspace" for one outcome. The browse occupant already carries its own
New folder affordance, so picking a directory covered creating one; the
name dialog only added a second vocabulary and a create target the
operator could neither see nor choose.
The surviving entry is named after the outcome — "Add workspace…" — and a
menu now appears only where there is something to choose between: with no
Workspace listed (the add-only sidebar header, or an empty hero list) the
anchor gesture raises the directory flow directly instead of a one-row
popover. An empty list counts as final only after the list baseline lands,
and a composition with no directory-flow occupant hides the sidebar button
rather than offering a dead one.
WorkspaceCreateFlow becomes WorkspacePickFlow (createOnly -> addOnly) and
the injected createWorkspace narrows to { path }. The host's
workspace.create({ name }) branch and `dsh web --workspace-root` lost their
last product consumer; both are marked at the call site for a follow-up.
The remote side re-merged master (i18n workflow round) and restored the
pre-architecture ModelSelector package with the Session-side state
machine. Reconciliation keeps that merge's master content and reasserts
this branch's model architecture: business state lives in ui-model's
shared per-session directory (ctx.models), not on Session/
ConversationSnapshot; the input.model seat entry and the /model popup
stay the two same-source entries; the history modelTarget piggyback stays
removed. The ui-model-selector package, its roster row, and its allowlist
entry go; the smoke-real roster names ui-model.
The startup-selection flow leaves a fresh world (no Workspace) in the
locked view state, so every e2e scenario that types into the composer
now connects one first via the shared connectFreshWorkspace helper
(hero picker create-by-name dialog; the default 'workspace' name keeps
the session-header cwd assertions intact).
Golden refreshes carry the current composer chrome: the plan/model
control seats are empty until their owning plugins register (the seats
shipped without occupants on this branch), the sidebar shows the
connected workspace group pre-send, and the bash details material
renders Input/code/Output as separate nodes. The cancel scenario polls
the frozen-partial swap instead of counting synchronously — the abort
frame reaches the browser over SSE after the host settles.
Implements the execa Agent Note's four sub-changes:
- execa (root devDep + loader-smoke dep) replaces the hand-rolled
spawn-collect-timeout choreography in loader-smoke, apps/cli and
cli-demo/acp-demo built-bin e2e, lsp-local and code-runtime-worker
built-lib e2e, the tui pty-harness outer collector, the jsonrpc
keyless smoke, and crash-recovery's child spawn. Genuinely custom
parts stay custom: cli-demo's interrupt-on-marker, jsonrpc's
line-predicate protocol driving, crash-recovery's SIGKILL-at-failpoint.
The two loader-smoke /* v8 ignore */ OS-error branches are gone.
- llm-mock-server CLI tokenizes via node:util parseArgs; numeric
coercion/bounds/cross-option constraints stay manual; pinned
error-message tests updated to the parseArgs texts.
- both loadRootEnv copies in apps/web/tests are deleted: the owning
vitest configs (web unconditionally, snapshot in record mode)
already load the repo-root .env before these files run.
- the four poll loops (acp-snapshot harness waits + crash-recovery
waitForFile) ride vi.waitFor with explicit {interval, timeout}.
The shell is now a pure composition face: no dictionaries, no locale
dependency, and three new chrome content seats (settings.trigger /
settings.header / settings.close) whose slot content also carries the
accessible names (trigger text, dialog aria-labelledby, visually hidden
close label). ui-settings-general returns as the owner of copy that
belongs to no single feature: chrome content, the General section with
its item slot, and the settings dictionaries. Slot types split homes —
trigger/header/close/section live in the shell contract; the
settings.general.item entry moves to the locale package (the common
dependency of every item registrant), with ui-theme consuming it
through a re-export seam; the verbatim duplicate merges are gone and
the dependency graph is a clean DAG.
run_code gains a required bash-style description parameter: presentCall
titles the card with it and moves the program to rawInput, so every
surface gets a readable label. tool/code-dispatch now logs each
sub-call's complete content/isError (the tool/result vocabulary),
replacing the bounded resultSummary and deleting the summarize/cwd
machinery — a UI renders sub-calls through the identical path as native
results. The dsh config tree mounts the worker code runtime and reads
DSH_TOOLS_MODE (temporary seam until per-session mode selection lands).
Session format stays v0 (pre-release churn). Code-mode ACP/TUI fixtures
re-recorded; TUI presenter pin refreshed; catalogs regenerated. Keyless
web smoke pins the code-mode wire contract (tools=[run_code] + SDK
prompt section).
Add the browser Settings surface as slot-composed plugins over new
preference services:
- Rename dsh-client-i18n to dsh-client-locale (locale is the domain
name); LocaleService adds getLocale()/setLocale(id), immutable
snapshots, a locale/change event, and dsh.locale persistence.
- ThemeService owns the light/dark/system preference (default system),
resolves system via prefers-color-scheme, publishes theme/change
snapshots, persists dsh.theme, and no longer touches the DOM;
ui-layout's ThemePresenter applies resolved snapshots
(body[data-ds-dark-theme] + alias tokens) and cleans up on dispose.
- ui-sidebar drops the phase-1 settings dropdown/modal; the foot renders
the new sidebar.settings slot with the column state.
- New ui-settings shell occupies sidebar.settings: foot trigger row and
the centered 1080x700 panel (figma 501:29947) with 24% mask, close
button / mask click / Escape all closing, and a 188px nav projected
from the settings.section list slot it declares. Nav labels are
registrant-localized; sections re-register on locale change, so the
ledger version is the shell's only subscription.
- ui-settings-general registers the General section: Permission and
Tool Call skeletons, live Language (locale menu) and Appearance
(Light/Dark/System cubes following the persisted preference); its
slot store mirrors both service snapshots via apply-side listeners.
- ui-settings-models registers the Models nav entry with an empty
content column.
- Portaled menus pin z-index above modal overlays (a menu anchored
inside the settings dialog rendered underneath it and was
unclickable).
- theme/data/list-pen icons in ui-primitives; settings copy ships as
zh/en dictionaries; fixture manifests gain the settings rows.
