A continuable child could finish without giving its parent a usable
result: the report tool was described as optional and its default
delivery stayed quiet. Install the child-scoped report obligation (tool
description plus the tool:report prompt section), default reportDelivery
to wakeup, bind shipped subagent_fork delegations to one-shot so fork
keeps its prefix reuse, and extend the ACP snapshot harness to pin child
system prompts alongside child tool schemas.
The model reads a PNG/JPEG/WebP/GIF file, the bytes commit through the
durable attachment lifecycle, and the tool result carries the real
ImageBlock so the image enters context from the next request onward.
FileSystem gains a bounded readBytes primitive (local + E2B providers);
registration is conditional on the attachment store, and a strict
execution gate refuses routes that do not declare image input, so a
text route's durable history stays free of image blocks. llm-replay
models may declare inputModalities, letting keyless ACP snapshots pin
both the sha256-referenced success and the verbatim refusal.
Supersedes the withdrawn route-scoped design of PR #598; the decision
record is .agents/notes/implemented/feature/2026-08-10-minimal-read-image-tool.md.
Delete design-session citations (decision/audit/plan ordinals, stack
positions), change narration, review choreography, and reviewer-addressed
justification from comments, JSDoc, docs, READMEs, Agent Notes, tests, and
generator templates; restate every affected fact as current-state contract
prose. Fix generated docs at their sources and regenerate the catalogs and
cordis-surface regions; re-paste type-equiv blocks; update every bilingual
counterpart and re-record the pairs. Record the citation rule in the
committed-artifact-citations Agent Note.
Rebuild of the region machinery (PR3) on the post-#904 Typert projection:
renderPageRegion/renderInheritedPage live in dsh-typert-generator beside the
projection; scripts/gen-cordis-catalog.ts owns the curated SERVICE_PAGE /
EVENT_SCOPE_PAGE / SERVICE_WALK_EXEMPTIONS / LINK_MAP partition (fail-loud in
both directions, with the independent Context-merge scan backstopping the
projection's blind spot), spliceRegion, and the guarded pair auto-record.
docs/cordis-catalog/ is deleted: the flat events/services catalogs dissolve
into per-page regions and docs/cordis-catalog/core moves to docs/cordis-api/
with the inherited tier as its own generated page. The partition absorbs the
post-regrouping surface: ctx.typert → invariants.md, ctx.directoryPicker →
workspace.md, skills/* events → skills.md, and the four launcher-provided tui
accessor values join the named exemptions.
The folder is becoming the home of one-doc-per-subsystem pages (intro +
data structures + cordis services/events), so the name must describe the
whole contract, not just the type-vocabulary third of it. Mechanical
rename rebuilt on current master: every inbound Markdown link, generator
constant, website route, type-equiv manifest path, and spec expectation
moves together; the zh sides of the notes whose prose names the folder
are aligned (子系统) in the same change; touched bilingual pairs
re-recorded; translation-prompt snapshot re-recorded (its example embeds
development.md). Historical Agent Note slugs keep their dated
filenames.
git mv timeout-policy beside repeat-tool-guard (both are loop-hygiene
policies on the tool-execution pipeline, and the timeout/ group name
collided with util/timeout) and tool-cordis into self-modification/
(naming the role the framework name obscured). Merged/renamed group
README triplets, tsconfig globs, generator sources, hierarchy tables,
catalogs, and the timeout-policy design note's group references
follow. Adds the fifth FIXME marker (dsh-timeout-guard, recorded as a
suggestion to settle at resolution time).
guard + self-modification suites: 197 passed.
git mv per the regrouping RFC: the five human-collaboration seams and
tui join packages/interaction/, app-boot becomes packages/boot/, and
jsonrpc joins the renamed scaffold/ (formerly sdk/) as its server half
beside client/protocol/create-sdk/helper/scripts/telemetry, whose
folders drop the legacy sdk- prefix. Three new group README triplets
replace the ui/ and sdk/ ones; tsconfig references/paths/globs,
knip keys, vitest globs, gate scripts, catalogs, docs, and the
lockfile follow. Adds the four settled FIXME rename markers
(dsh-sdk-server, dsh-sdk-telemetry, dsh-sdk-helper, dsh-sdk-scripts).
The scaffold folders diverge from their npm names until those renames
land, so tsconfig.base.json maps the three affected names explicitly
beside the group wildcard. Also repairs two pre-existing stale-path
classes the strengthened sweep surfaced: docs/web-styling.md's retired
web-ui host package and type-model spec fixture-literal joins.
app-boot's three Loader-composition specs time out at the default 5s
under full-suite parallel load on this filesystem (pre-existing;
pass isolated with --testTimeout=30000); interaction/scaffold/boot
suites otherwise green (687 passed).
tool-pwsh now renders sandbox denial facts (denial marker + same-turn escalation hint, runner-failed notice on background reads) and advertises the sandbox_permissions/justification escalation pair resolved through ctx.approval before execution — the shared fail-closed sequence from dsh-sandbox, with the tool name 'pwsh'. The description teaches the ConstrainedLanguage contract under the Windows sandbox (both confined modes run pwsh in CLM: Add-Type, non-core .NET statics, COM, and reflection fail; the mode cannot be lifted — probe-verified, pinned by LANGMODE assertions in the runner suite and description assertions in the tool suite). The stale pwsh-sandbox JSDoc ('the tool owns approval') and the parity notes' superseded 'minus sandbox' claims are corrected.
- the subagent projection's empty state becomes a serializable null
sentinel (undefined fields vanish in JSON push frames, leaving stale
identities in clients); consumers treat null and a missing key alike,
and cached sentinels defer to the authoritative refold
- the tool catalog generator mounts the projection registry for
list_agents; the shared unavailable-error copy goes catalog-neutral
- the design note's verification section records the new
subagent-diagnostic snapshot honestly, the 2026-07-22 note's test
inventory is rewritten to the current mechanism, and the session-store
error code is documented
The tool catalog boots every tool with its default config, but
allowParallelInProgress has no default, so the generator has to choose;
the page now says which branch it shows. The Agent Note's sidecar count
went stale twice inside this PR, so it records the refresh rule instead
of a point-in-time census. The SDK builtin entry pins its config literal
with satisfies like every sibling.
Update every doc referencing base.cordis.yml/web.cordis.yml, --config, -p, or
$DSH_HOME/config.yaml to the profile vocabulary with bilingual counterparts
re-recorded; regenerate the catalogs and graphs; add the
profile-plugin-bundles Agent Note recording the design and its rejected
alternatives.
- listChildren() takes an optional AbortSignal and rechecks it after every
un-signalled session-query await (the cold-resume cooperative-cancellation
boundary); list_agents forwards exec.signal so the registry's drain of
started tool bodies cannot block on a slow or large catalog.
- The list_agents description now presents running/complete as a stored-record
snapshot and defers deliverability to send_message, matching the ownership-
conflict semantics the service tests pin.
Implements the durable-subagent-catalog RFC: SubagentControlService.listChildren()
enumerates a parent's direct continuable children from one sessionQuery trace,
validates each child's sole subagent/descriptor event (now carrying the durable
creation label), and returns one ordered SubagentListEntry[] with per-child
corrupt/unsupported/unavailable diagnostics. The list_agents tool ships as a
separately loadable plugin of dsh-tool-subagent-control requiring sessionQuery
at load; send_message stays usable without it.
- Make host-user authority unforgeable. `{ kind: 'user' }` was a bare
discriminant, so any plugin holding `ctx.subagents` — including
model-generated cordis_mount code, which the advanced ACP composition ships
alongside continuable subagents — could construct it and skip the
direct-parent check for any known child id. It now carries an opaque grant
that only SubagentService.userAuthority() mints, which composition hands to
trusted host adapters; a model-facing tool uses parent authority from its own
execution context.
- Reconcile a delivery discarded inside its own admission window. An enqueue
listener that cancels fires the discard before followup() returns, so the
discard listener could not clear an id it had not seen; submit() retained it
and residency stayed `running` until an explicit drain.
- Recheck the caller signal after materialization. An abort landing between
publication and inbox acceptance still submitted the prompt and returned both
ids; it now rolls the child back.
- Stop promising the model transcript access that no shipped continuable config
mounts. The tools now state only that a background child does not report back.
- Restate the implemented note as shipped state rather than a proposal, so it
works as current authority.
Adds the new continuable types to the cordis-catalog type-link map and
regenerates the cordis api/service/event catalogs, tool catalog, config
catalog, and doc graphs.
