Master removed the stdio demo (#702c8cc30) — accept the deletion; this
branch's packChunks passthrough survives in acp-demo (auto-merged), and
cli-demo/tui-demo arrived from master without one (the follow-up snapshot
PR decides which demos expose the switch). Generated catalogs regenerated
over merged sources; the hand-written session.md durability paragraph
re-weaves this branch's lossless-encoding wording with master's invariant-
companion sentence.
Master's Zstandard physical encoding (#416) and this branch's packed chunk
rows compose as orthogonal layers: packChunks shapes the logical storage
records, compression shapes the physical bytes. The backend keeps both
config keys; eventLines(events, packChunks) replaces master's singular
eventLine helper and feeds encodeMaterialization/encodeEventBatch so packed
rows flow through either encoding. Demo apps carry both passthroughs. The
packed-row layout tests pin compression: 'none' (they assert textual line
tags) and read through rawLogPath; zstd spec fixtures inline
JSON.stringify for verbatim lines.

and the jsonl backend README storage-layout bullets — master's required
delegationDepth header field weaves with this branch's storage-record/packed
row wording.
Conflicts: the four generated catalog docs (regenerated over merged sources),
session index.ts exports (keep chunk-rows exports + master's SessionSurface
re-export), stdio/acp demo config schema and persistence wiring (thread
packChunks through master's DEFAULT_PERSISTENCE_ROOT/UI shape), stdio README
config table, and the jsonl spec import line. The packed-chunk fixture also
gains the provenance field master made required on assistant/message.
A subagent child's recursion depth lived only in runtime AgentOptions,
so a persisted child came back from resume counted as top-level and
maxDepth stopped binding after every restart. Add
SessionHeader.delegationDepth, round-trip it through the JSONL and
SQLite backends (SQLite schema v5), restore it on agent-loop resume,
and write it when the in-process backends create a child. The seam now
owns the shared depth vocabulary (delegationDepthOf): the persisted
header is authoritative and monotone — runtime options may deepen it
but never lower it.
Declare MoveFileExW's return value as Koffi int and model it as a numeric 32-bit Win32 BOOL. The previous Koffi bool declaration represented a one-byte C boolean and could read the native return register with the wrong ABI.
Test zero and nonzero results explicitly and assert the binding result type while preserving the existing write-through flags, error translation, and durable directory race behavior.
Providers stream token-sized deltas, so a session log stores hundreds of
near-identical assistant/chunk lines whose JSON envelopes dwarf their
payloads (~56x measured on a real DeepSeek session, 73% of file bytes).
Add a lossless storage codec to dsh-session: packChunkRuns() folds each
run of >=3 consecutive same-block delta chunks into one storage row --
text-chunks / reasoning-chunks / tool-call-chunks, bare slash-less tags
like the header line's 'session' so rows cannot be confused with session
events -- and decodeStorageRecord() expands rows back to the exact
original events (seq0/time0 + dt gap array reconstruct every member's
seq/time; tool-call rows carry the run-constant id/name). The encoder
whitelists exact shapes and stores anything unrecognized verbatim; the
decoder validates row-tagged values and fails loud on malformation.
The JSONL backend gains a packChunks config (default false). Writing
packs only when enabled -- default-off output stays byte-identical to
the previous layout, so snapshot goldens are untouched. Reading is
layout-blind: scanLog always decodes rows and now checks seq contiguity
with a cursor instead of the line index, so packed, unpacked, and mixed
files all load identically. Fixture readers (llm-replay parseSessionLog,
acp-snapshot normalizeSessionLog) share the codec; the normalizer zeroes
a row's time0/dt exactly like an event's time. The two demo bundles
plumb packChunks from cordis.yml to the backend.
Measured on a real coding session: 105 KB -> 42 KB (-60%), 475 lines ->
74, with reasoning/tool-call heavy sessions saving the most. Covered by
example + fast-check round-trip codec tests, backend packed/mixed/torn-
tail specs, and an end-to-end demo run loading a packed log through a
default-config backend.
New doc-sync gate verify-export-jsdoc walks every module-level exported
name under packages/*/*/src and requires description prose everywhere,
plus @param per parameter and @returns on non-void annotated returns for
function-like exports, public class methods, properties, and accessors.
The parsing + check helpers move out of gen-cordis-catalog.ts into a
shared scripts/jsdoc.ts so 'documented' means one thing on both gated
surfaces.
Deliberate exemptions (documented in the RFC): heritage-declared class
members (the seam declaration is the doc's one home — the one checker
query in an otherwise pure-AST walk), cordis plugin-protocol slots
(name/inject/reusable/Config/apply, top-level and static), constructors,
overload implementations, declare-module augmentation bodies, and
re-export statements (checked at the defining module).
The 203 under-documented exports the gate found at adoption are filled
in this change, so the gate lands green; generated catalogs/graphs are
regenerated for the shifted line pointers.

A fork subagent seeds its child session with a prefix of the parent's log, and
that seed becomes the child's persisted log — so a fork child's .jsonl begins
with the PARENT's events, including the parent's assistant/chunk events. The
snapshot replay harness derived a child's script from its whole log, which would
replay the parent's recorded responses as the child's model calls. Spawn-only
scenarios never hit it, but a fork snapshot would mis-route silently.
Record the seed boundary and skip the inherited prefix at replay:
- SessionHeader gains an optional `seedLength` (how many leading events were
inherited via a seed), threaded through CreateSessionOptions/CreateAgentOptions
meta and stamped by the fork backend (= seeded-prefix length; absent for spawn).
It is EXPLICIT, never inferred from seed.length: a resume seeds the whole stored
log, so the resume path passes the persisted boundary back.
- Both persistence backends round-trip it: JSONL header line, SQLite seed_length
column. The SQLite table change bumps SCHEMA_VERSION 2->3; per the pre-release
stance the backend rejects an older user_version on open with NO migration.
- llm-replay's parseSessionHeader reads seedLength and loadSessionScripts derives
a child script from events AFTER the boundary. seedLength is 0 for spawn, so
spawn replay is byte-for-byte unchanged.
Closes the routing-correctness gap the per-session snapshot replay RFC under-
stated; a recorded fork scenario remains a future addition but now derives

Regression coverage: a fork child fixture whose seeded prefix carries a parent
chunk (derived script must exclude it, proven red without the slice); a seedLength
persistence round-trip through the shared coordinator contract (both backends);
the fork backend stamping it; resume preserving it from the persisted header.
Two capability seams carried abstract methods no production consumer calls.
A method no consumer programs against is not a seam — it is speculative
surface every implementation must still provide and test.
- SessionPersistence: remove has() and delete(), the coordinator's
has/delete/deleteCore, and the PersistenceBackend.deleteStored hook (with its
jsonl + sqlite + in-spec memory-stub impls). Surviving service surface:
create/append/load/list. Production uses only load() (resume) and list()
(ACP session/list).
- BashExecutor: remove get(id) and list(), the abstract decls and the
LocalBashExecutor impls. The internal tasks map survives (it backs
ownerOf/readOutput/kill); get/list were pure public accessors over it with no
shipping caller and no bash_list tool.
- Migrate tests that reached through ctx.bash.get(id) to the public completion
seam: a doneFor(id) helper over onTaskDone awaits a task by id, and the
HMR-reload ownership test now proves task survival through A's own bash_output
([status: running]) plus ownerOf + B-rejection — a stronger through-the-tool
assertion than the removed lookup peek.
- Update seam READMEs (six -> four service methods, drop the deleteStored hook
and the get/list row) and the two implemented persistence RFCs in place.

Move the 18 flat packages/<name> packages into role-grouped dirs:
core/, llm/, bash/, session-persistence/, ui/, support/. Group dirs are
pure containers; each package keeps its @deepseek-ai/dsh-* name.
Collapse the per-package tsconfig paths maps (base + typecheck) into one
@deepseek-ai/dsh-* wildcard with a candidate per group, and derive the
publint list from the hierarchy. Update all depth-coupled globs/configs
(workspace, tsdown, vitest, eslint, knip, tsconfig includes/refs,
per-package tsconfigs, generators, doc-script scopes, type-equiv manifest)
and the cross-package/script relative imports in tests.
Fix doc-typecheck's workspacePaths() to parse tsconfig JSONC via the
TypeScript API instead of a regex comment-strip, which corrupted the
new wildcard `/*/` path candidates.
