583704ac1d feat: add the worker-thread code runtime (dsh-code-runtime-worker)
The shipped backend of the code-execution seam, per the Code Mode RFC's
worker-thread section: one fresh Node worker per run, executing the
model's TypeScript after a host-side type-strip (wrapped in an
async-function shell so top-level return/await parse, sliced back out
position-preserved), bindings bridged over the message port under
hostile-peer rules (own-property name lookup, at-most-once replies,
post-settlement drops, null-prototype namespaces), logs streamed eagerly
with an in-band truncation marker, and two independent budgets — measured
event-loop busy time (computeMs) plus a never-pausing wall ceiling
(maxWallMs) — funneling into worker.terminate(). env: {} and execArgv: []
keep the isolate hermetic; disposal aborts in-flight runs and awaits
worker exits.

The worker entry loads unbuilt via Node's native type stripping
(src/worker.ts, erasable-only) and ships built as a sibling tsdown bundle
(lib/worker.js); tests/built-lib.e2e.ts pins the built load path under
plain node and joins the built-artifact smoke gate. Unit suites cover the
bootstrap in-process (fake port) and the runtime over real workers,
per-file 100%.

adbba0deb2 fix(system-prompt): reject a toolOrder that names an unregistered tool
Review follow-up (#196): a listed name with no registered tool was silently
ignored; misconfiguration must block work instead. The check lives in the
assembly — the earliest moment the registered tool set exists (tool plugins
register after the service constructs) and the only universal one (cordis has
no "all plugins loaded" event; registrations change at any time). assemble()
is now async so the throw surfaces as a rejection rather than a synchronous
escape from a Promise-returning method.

Blast radius, pinned by a loop-level test: the rejection reaches the turn's
outer catch — the turn closes balanced with an `error` reason, agent/error
mirrors it, no step opens, no request/header is logged, no request reaches
the adapter, and the agent returns to idle; every turn fails identically
until the config is fixed. A boot-time validation pass was considered and
rejected (recorded in the RFC). The general principle — misconfiguration
fails loud, never a silent skip — is added to AGENTS.md.

5e4ac5e472 fix review findings: CI leaf-gate wiring, heritage return surface, AGENTS.md self-containedness
- run-gates.ts docSyncLeafGates() gains verify-export-jsdoc — CI lanes
and the pre-push hook execute this leaf list, not the doc-sync npm
script, so the gate was previously unenforced there (proven by
SessionForkErrorCode landing undocumented via a master merge while
checks stayed green; now documented). Same wiring gap fixed for
master's verify-config-catalog, which was also missing from the list.
- The heritage exemption now recovers the base's return surface: a void
base return carried no @returns duty, so an override returning a
concrete result documents it itself (annotated overrides run the
standard check; unannotated ones are classified by the checker so
faithful void overrides need no boilerplate annotation). Three new
negative-path tests pin it; RFC and module doc updated.
- AGENTS.md states each principle inline instead of citing RFCs (eight
citations removed; high-level doc links kept) and the editing section
  now carries the self-containedness rule.
- Generated catalogs/graphs regenerated for the shifted line pointers.

cd9737d569 Gate JSDoc completeness on every package export
New doc-sync gate verify-export-jsdoc walks every module-level exported
name under packages/*/*/src and requires description prose everywhere,
plus @param per parameter and @returns on non-void annotated returns for
function-like exports, public class methods, properties, and accessors.
The parsing + check helpers move out of gen-cordis-catalog.ts into a
shared scripts/jsdoc.ts so 'documented' means one thing on both gated
surfaces.

Deliberate exemptions (documented in the RFC): heritage-declared class
members (the seam declaration is the doc's one home — the one checker
query in an otherwise pure-AST walk), cordis plugin-protocol slots
(name/inject/reusable/Config/apply, top-level and static), constructors,
overload implementations, declare-module augmentation bodies, and
re-export statements (checked at the defining module).

The 203 under-documented exports the gate found at adoption are filled
in this change, so the gate lands green; generated catalogs/graphs are
regenerated for the shifted line pointers.

c0808d5126 docs: the governing principle — every LLM request is reconstructable from the session log
The reconstructability RFC is the principle's home: model-visible ⟺
logged in both forms, the mechanism (boundary derivation + header
fold), the enforcement (write-time round-trip guard, the dev
invariant), the corollaries ranked (prefix-cache stability first), the
MiniCode lineage with the provenance arrow inverted, and the
alternatives it beat — including the stateful transmission client
whose three-design archaeology lives in PR #162.

Placements per the one-home-per-fact taxonomy: a standing-order line in
root AGENTS.md (with displacement trims to stay inside the 1,575-word
ceiling), the principle statement in architecture.md § Session Log and
its Turn Flow lines (condensed to the ratcheted 1,630 ceiling), the
request-envelope section in core-data-structures/core.md with the
LlmCallConfig paste, both review-requested FIXMEs
(FIXME(call-config-shape) beside the type, FIXME(catalog-verbs) at the
catalog's drift-gate note), cookbook rows redirected off agent/request
(tool filtering → system-prompt/assemble, plan-mode prompt → sections/
inject()), and the llm/stream JSDoc stating the frozen-request
contract. RFC index and all generated catalogs regenerated.

60b097c829 docs: drop all Feishu references
The repo's docs are read by people and agents without access to the
company wiki, so external Feishu links are dead weight: the two design-doc
links (MVP requirements, microkernel implementation notes) leave
AGENTS.md's intro and docs/architecture.md (usages + link definitions),
and the microkernel-event-taxonomy RFC drops its plain-text pointer to the
same design doc. The governing principle each reference decorated is
already stated in place; no content moves.

a1a660823f Merge remote-tracking branch 'origin/master' into worktree-arch-doc-drop-layering
Master split the cordis catalog (d55d4120) while this branch was in review.
Resolution: keep this branch's Service map restructure, adopt master's split
catalog link targets (events.md / services.md), and regenerate the catalog so
the waterfall-semantics anchor fix lands in the split output.

8dd8ce21db docs: make the service map the front door of architecture.md
The Layering ASCII diagram was cluttered, lumped THE concrete loop plugin
undifferentiated into a grab-bag plugins box, omitted dsh-agent-core and the
app packages, and restated the dependency rule that packages/README.md
already owns — while being the first thing a reader linked from README hits.

- Drop the Layering section; the tier story becomes one intro sentence and
the dependency rule a one-line Service map footer linking
  packages/README.md#dependencies.
- Split the Service map into the spine (packages/core/) vs the swappable
capability seams; annotate ctx.agentLoop as THE concrete loop plugin.
- Promote Cordis waterfall semantics to a top-level section placed before
first waterfall use; drop '(important)' from the heading (anchor swept:
  AGENTS.md, gen-cordis-catalog.ts + regenerated catalog).
- Promote Event taxonomy to a top-level section (anchor unchanged).
- Retitle 'The vocabulary (dsh-llm)' to 'Content blocks and streaming
(dsh-llm)' so the heading names its content (citation swept:
  llm-streaming.md).

Net -29 words (1851 -> 1822); the 1890 ceiling stands, keeping the
manifest's working margin.

25e02ae9a8 Split the cordis catalog into separate events and services documents
gen-cordis-catalog.ts now emits docs/cordis-catalog/events.md and
docs/cordis-catalog/services.md instead of the combined
events-and-services.md: a reader is either finding what to listen to or
what to call, and each axis now scans and deep-links as its own page.
Headings promote one level (scopes and ctx.<key> entries become H2), the
dispatch-mode legend lives on the events page, and the inherited tier
splits accordingly. --check verifies both files and names whichever is
stale.

Every reference updated in the same change (no compat redirects,
pre-release stance): architecture.md, AGENTS.md, docs/AGENTS.md tier row,
filesystem/subagent core-data-structures pages (the ctx.fs anchor
survives — slugs are heading-level-independent), fs README, four RFCs,
the tool-catalog and persistence-catalog generator intros (both
regenerated), and the bilingual development.md pair (re-recorded).

a29bbe1453 Add JSDoc completeness gate for the cordis surface
gen-cordis-catalog now hard-errors (aggregated, not fail-fast) when an
event lacks description prose or a payload @param, or a public service
method lacks JSDoc, a @param per parameter, a @returns on a non-void
result, or an explicit return type annotation. The this receiver and the
trailing waterfall next are exempt on events (mode machinery owned by
@mode); a stale @param naming no real parameter errors, mirroring the
@mode contradiction check. parseJsDoc now ends prose at the first block
tag (standard JSDoc semantics), so the tags never change the rendered
catalog — only Source: line pointers moved.

Fills the ~139 gaps found across the 15 surface files, extends the spec
with negative-path fixtures for every new guard plus the exemptions,
records the decision as an implemented process RFC, and extends the
AGENTS.md typed-events bullet with the authoring rule. Runs inside
verify-cordis-catalog -> doc-sync, so CI and pre-push enforce it with
zero new wiring.

3da966a52a Merge remote-tracking branch 'origin/master' into worktree-plugin-config-guideline
Master's docs-overhaul stack (#142-#144) rewrote AGENTS.md into the
slim budget-gated form and repointed the review skill's citations.
Resolutions:
- AGENTS.md: master's rewrite wins; the no-hardcoded-tunables
convention is re-added as one terse bullet in the new style, after
'Explicit > implicit at package seams'. Within the verify-doc-budgets
ceiling, so no displacement or raise needed.
- dsh-code-review SKILL.md: master's repointed citations win; the
hardcoded-tunables reviewer check and the Conventions keyword are
  re-applied on top.
- packages/README.md: master replaced the hand-maintained dependency
list (which carried this branch's chars-per-token wording) with a
  pointer to the generated module graph — master's side taken whole;
the estimator wording lives on in the compact package READMEs.

bee8132a7f Add the no-hardcoded-tunables convention and its review check
A number or string that two reasonable deployments could want set
differently — a timeout, grace period, output cap, result-count limit,
model name, base URL — belongs on the plugin's schemastery Config with
the shipped value as its default, not in a bare literal or module
constant. A DEFAULT_* constant or a test-only injection seam is not
configurability: the test is whether a cordis.yml deployment can change
the value without a code edit. Protocol/wire constants, semantic
constants, values pinned by an external spec, and security invariants
stay hardcoded.

The convention lands in AGENTS.md § Conventions (the authoritative
source the review skill cites); dsh-code-review gains the matching
reviewer-only check, since no mechanical gate can detect a hardcoded
tunable.

4a0941fb4b feat(ui): share the app bins' boot glue in @deepseek-ai/dsh-app-boot
The four near-twin helpers the two published bins carried — loadEnv,
installFailLoud, assertEntriesLoaded, boot — live once in
packages/ui/app-boot, parameterized by the bin's diagnostic prefix and
injectable at their side-effect seams (warn sink, process slice), so
every branch sits under the per-file 100% coverage gate: the unit suite
drives boot() in-process against the real Loader (relative-specifier
configs) through both the settled-tree path and the fiber-less-entry
rejection, and exercises the ENOENT/unloadable .env split, the
Error/non-Error/stackless fail-loud arms, and the disabled-entry
exclusion. resolveConfigPath (snapshot-aware) becomes the single path
resolver for both bins.

Each bin.ts is now a thin self-executing composition plus its
app-specific lifecycle (acp: replay env-skip + stdin-EOF dispose;
stdio: nothing extra), exports nothing, and stays coverage-excluded;
the built-bin smokes still prove both artifacts under plain node in the
node_modules-shaped temp dir (now symlinking ui/app-boot), including
the missing-config non-zero exit.

Implements docs/rfc/implemented/simplification/2026-07-04-share-app-bin-boot-glue.md
(moved from proposed/ and amended); the extract-example-app-packages
RFC's bin-ownership facts are amended in the same change.

205f7cd04d refactor(ui): fold the stdio UI helper into the stdio app
The readline UI lives inside @deepseek-ai/dsh-stdio-agent as the
in-package stdio-chat module; the packages/support/ui-stdio package is
gone. The app's front-door cluster always includes this UI and nothing
else composes it, so the boundary bought manifest/tsconfig/module-graph/
README/publint surface for a helper that is not independently
swappable — and a product app no longer depends on a support package
documented as not-product-surface.

createStdioChat, the StdioRuntime test seam, and both unit suites moved
verbatim (imports rewired to the module path); the named
name/inject/Config/apply export shape stays, being the contract the
app's ctx.plugin mount consumes. Coverage stays per-file 100%; the
built-bin smoke under plain node and both keyless Loader-path smokes
prove the published artifact and the demos end-to-end.

Implements docs/rfc/implemented/simplification/2026-07-04-fold-stdio-ui-helper.md
(moved from proposed/ and amended to the shipped shape).

c3424e5487 fix(docs): address Codex review round 1 on the AGENTS.md rewrite
- Restore the universal JSDoc rule the rewrite dropped (module doc
comment + semantic JSDoc on every export), in root AGENTS.md § Type
safety and documentation — the generated-catalog RFC cites it as the
rule the generator enforces at the source.
- Repoint the six remaining citations of moved content that the
section-name grep missed (rule-title quotes and prose references):
  agent-loop agent.ts, acp index.ts, acp turns.spec.ts, the Exa e2e
header, the real-api-e2e RFC, the doc-sync-enforcement RFC amendment,
  and rfc/implemented/AGENTS.md's section-name casing.
- Fix two docs/testing.md overstatements: the unit tier also runs
examples/*/tests specs, and keyless-by-nature examples have no
  with-key smoke.
- Displacement trims keep root AGENTS.md at 1,498/1,500.

5611f772b1 feat(scripts): generate the RFC index tables from the tree
docs/rfc/README.md's per-lifecycle tables are now generated between
gen-rfc-index marker comments from each RFC's path (lifecycle/class),
H1 title (optional 'RFC: ' prefix stripped), and filename date, sorted
by date then filename — the one docs region every proposal wave edits
and every concurrent branch conflicts on becomes derived state.

scripts/rfc-index.ts owns the shared walker (closed lifecycle/class
sets, structure rules, parseable-H1 requirement) and the renderer;
gen-rfc-index.ts is the writer CLI; verify-rfc-classification.ts keeps
the structure check and asserts the committed regions byte-match a
fresh render (freshness subsumes the index-completeness check, since a
generated-from-disk table is definitionally complete and correctly
headed). A malformed H1 is a hard error in both directions, so the H1
is now load-bearing as the title source — the one nonconforming H1
(a status suffix duplicating the path) is normalized.

Implements docs/rfc/implemented/process/2026-07-04-generate-rfc-index-tables.md
(moved from proposed/ and amended to the shipped mechanics); the
classification RFC's verify-only stance carries the supersession
cross-link per implemented/AGENTS.md.

7702a33531 docs(AGENTS): rewrite the root standing orders to the 1,500-word budget
Applies the documentation standard to its biggest offender. Every rule
survives as one to three lines plus a link to its durable home; the
stories, duplicate statements, and re-narrations go:

- Situational clusters evict to new homes: docs/testing.md (tiers,
  with-key policy, real-over-mock, world-verification, real-entry-path
guards), docs/defensive-patterns.md (the bug-class rules), and
  docs/cookbook/responding-to-pr-review-on-a-stack.md (the stacked-PR
  review procedure).
- Doc-authoring rules consolidate into docs/AGENTS.md § Writing rules
  (current-state-never-history, md-wrap, ts-block compilation, @mode,
  catalog same-change, pair same-change).
- packages/README.md drops to the group table + the extension-vs-bundle
dependency rule; the hand ASCII graph yields to the generated
module-graph.md; group READMEs are the canonical per-package map.
- packages/AGENTS.md keeps only its packages-specific rules (export
  shape, ctx.get, real-Loader coverage); examples/AGENTS.md repoints
  its with-key-policy link; rfc/README.md loses a narrated-history
  aside; dsh-code-review / dsh-find-simplifications / verify-md-wrap
  references follow the moved content.
- Budget manifest ratchets: AGENTS.md 8200 -> 1500 (now 1,495 words),
  packages/README.md 1900 -> 600, packages/AGENTS.md 600 -> 450; the
two new eviction docs join the budget set (testing 800, defensive
  550); docs/AGENTS.md raises 1000 -> 1250 for the absorbed writing
rules (the one justified increase). The doc-tiers RFC's deferred list
prunes the two items this change ships.

c699e948e6 docs(AGENTS): fix review findings — correct resume async, cut stack-locked lessons
Address ds-review-bot review on #131:

- Blocking: "Both are synchronous" was wrong for `resume`
  (`ctx.agents.resume`/`AgentLoop.resume` return `Promise<AgentHandle>` and
await the persisted load). State the true split: `create` is synchronous,
  `resume` is async.
- De-anchor the section: drop the "#118–#129" opening and every hooks-stack
  reference (agent/stream-chunk, PR-G, #118, ENOSPC-from-worktrees) so the
lessons stand alone for a reader who wasn't there, matching the generalized
style of the "Orchestrating review feedback" section above it.
- Cut bullets that duplicated existing AGENTS.md content: the standalone
"prove regression tests RED" bullet (already stated in the Orchestrating
section and Defensive patterns) and the ENOSPC "environmental ≠ code" bullet
  (no repo-specific rule survives generalizing).
- Generalize the survivors to their transferable rule; trim the
regenerate-artifact bullet to the one gate-backed example.
- Collapse the double blank line before ## Architecture.

ec05295a0c docs: equal-authority pairing with sidecar consistency records
Redesign per review: neither language is canonical. A pair is three
sibling files — foo.md, foo.zh.md, foo.i18n.yaml — and either language
may be authored first (a Chinese-first RFC is as legitimate as an
English-first one). The sidecar record holds the FULL git blob hash of
both sides as of the last confirmed-consistent state, replacing the
in-file one-directional fingerprint; editing either side without
re-confirming the pair goes red. New --write mode re-records a pair
after both sides are brought in line, making the confirmation a
reviewable yaml diff. Pairs merge whole (completeness enforced).

- gate rewritten around pair anchors (union of .zh.md and .i18n.yaml
remnants) so half-deleted pairs are caught from either side; red/green
proven for en-only edit, zh-only edit, missing record, and a record
  for an excluded file
- verify-rfc-classification now skips .zh.md counterparts (same RFC,
indexed via its English filename; the pairing gate owns consistency)
- docs/i18n/README.md + translation-rules.md reframed bidirectionally
(terminology table binds both directions; typography section governs
the Chinese side); zh counterparts updated; skill workflow updated
- RFC amended to the shipped design, records the English-canonical
in-file-fingerprint model as considered-and-revised; RFC translated
  (docs/rfc/.../2026-07-02-bilingual-docs-and-pairing-gate.zh.md) and
  added to the required frontier
- generated docs stay excluded with the follow-up recorded: teach the
generators to emit Chinese, then de-list

4d89bb3e74 docs: bilingual docs contract, translation skill, and pairing gate
Establish EN->ZH bilingual documentation for the README and docs tree:

- docs/i18n/README.md — the pairing contract: sibling foo.md <-> foo.zh.md,
English canonical, blob-hash source fingerprints, language switchers,
  scope/exclusions, and a manifest-driven rollout ratchet.
- docs/i18n/translation-rules.md — how to translate: faithfulness, structure
preservation, terminology discipline over docs/i18n/terminology.md, and
typography rules grounded in MDN/K8s/Vue/clreq conventions.
- .agents/skills/dsh-translate-docs — the committed agent workflow, following
the dsh-code-review pattern of deferring to docs as sources of truth.
- scripts/verify-translation-pairing.ts + manifest — a doc-sync gate: required
pairs exist; every existing .zh.md is fresh (fingerprint = current source
  blob), switcher-linked, structure-matched, and non-orphaned; excluded
(generated) docs stay unpaired. --list prints the translation work list.
- RFC (implemented/process) recording the decision and the alternatives.
- Dogfood: README.zh.md and the two i18n docs translated under their own rules.

Gates: doc-sync green including the new gate; red/green proven for stale
fingerprint, orphan, and excluded-file violations.

1a57d67058 refactor(tools): tagged render-intent union for tool-call presentation
Replace the "bag of optional fields" tool-presentation types
(ToolCallPresentation / ToolResultPresentation / ToolTerminal) with a
card-tagged discriminated union — the standing FIXME(tool-presentation).
A tool declares one render intent per call/result and the ACP bridge
switches on `card`:

  ToolCallView   = generic | terminal | diff
  ToolResultView = generic | terminal

The `diff` card is new: fs write/edit now emit an ACP {type:'diff'}
content block (an editor's inline diff), which the old shapes could not
express. The bridge also relativizes a file card's title against the
session cwd (mirroring claude-agent-acp's toDisplayPath) while keeping
locations/diff paths raw, and derives the no-capability fenced console
fallback from a terminal result's output. read gains the window-in-title
(`Read foo.txt (5 - 8)`) and an always-set location line, matching the
reference adapter field-for-field.

Migrates all three producer families (tool-fs, tool-bash, tool-todo) and
the sole consumer (the ACP bridge) together — the source does not compile
piecewise. Adds snapshot coverage for the terminal _meta path (a new
capability-advertising scenario) and re-records the fs goldens to show the
diff cards. Applied-hunk (result-time, context-line) diffs need a new
result/event shape and are a follow-up.
