Round-four nits: the acp-snapshot README said 'the suite's hasPwsh probe
follows the executor's own resolution' — hasPwsh is caller-supplied, and the
resolvePwshPath-following behavior belongs to the shipped acp-agent caller;
reword to 'the caller-supplied hasPwsh probe (the shipped acp-agent suite
follows the executor's own resolution...)' on both language sides. And the
tool-bash README loses its only explicit pairing sentence with the dialect
guard reverted, so state the contract plainly: 'The tool contract is
bash-dialect — mount a bash-parsing executor' (both languages, pairing
re-recorded).
The ShellDialect marker on BashExecutor and the load-time rejection in
tool-bash/tool-pwsh force every test and example fake executor to declare
a dialect for a guard with no in-repo or plausible deployment to catch
(shipped compositions always pair the tool with its matching executor),
and they break the example composition suites that stub ctx.bash without
a dialect (agent-spine-demo/cli-demo/acp-demo lost the bash tool).
Keep the non-dialect doc fixes that landed with the attempt: the tool-bash
README bashEnv contract trim with the stale example import removed, the
acp-snapshot suite.ts 'usable pwsh' JSDoc, and the pwsh.cordis.yml comment
indent. The parity note records the attempt and revert under Alternatives.
The seam gains ShellDialect ('bash' | 'powershell' - concrete shells, not
families: zsh or fish would be their own values, never 'bash'); bash-local
declares bash (bash-sandbox inherits), pwsh-local declares powershell, and
both tools throw at load when the mounted executor speaks another dialect -
previously tool-pwsh over bash-local handed PowerShell text to bash -c and
the deployment error surfaced as ordinary nonzero exits. Pinned by mismatch
tests on both tools; the parity note records the contract (both languages).
Also from the review round: the tool-bash README's managed-environment
section becomes a summary linking the owning dsh-bash-env contract (the
duplicated prose carried a stale owner in its example import), the
pwshOnly JSDoc drops the stale 'on PATH' phrasing, and the task-tools
contract comment in the two pwsh compositions is indented into its block.
- tool-bash README (both languages) now shows the real four-service inject
and attributes the session-persistence contributor to dsh-bash-env.
- pwsh-local README names the also-exported ENV_OVERRIDES/ENCODING_PREAMBLE.
- agent-spine-demo drops the duplicate bash-env devDependency key.
Delete @deepseek-ai/dsh-home and make dsh-paths the sole owner of the
single-root harness home ($DSH_HOME || ~/.dsh). Migrate tool-bash,
skill-local, and agent-spine-demo off dsh-home, and fold telemetry's
divergent globalConfigDir onto the shared resolver, dropping its second
XDG/APPDATA policy and the deepseek-harness namespace so the anonymous
id lives under the harness home. Add dshHomeDisplay() for symbolic
user-facing paths, replacing workspace-context's bespoke check.
The managed DSH_* runtime path was correct, but its public extension and documentation contracts were incomplete. A contributor following the README could access ctx.bashEnv without declaring an injection, the new environment types had no drift-checked catalog entries, and the capability graph omitted three packages that now query sessionPersistence.
Declare the README injection, catalog DshEnvironmentKey and DshEnvironment, and add tool-bash plus both hook bridges to the generated persistence consumer graph. Keep BashEnvRegistry.list() contributor-only for now because no production caller treats it as exhaustive, but record the built-in enumeration gap before diagnostics, prompt, or UI code depends on it.
Validated on the exact resulting tree with typecheck, lint, coverage, snapshot, documentation, module-graph, build, hygiene, demo-smoke, and built-artifact checks.
Every packages/*/* README now carries a canonical '## Known Limitations and
Deferred Work' section: condensed, evidence-backed bullets for consumer-visible
gaps (unimplemented features, platform caveats, MVP cuts) and consciously
postponed work (TODO/FIXME/XXX markers, RFC deferrals still open). The ten
pre-existing ad-hoc variants ('What is NOT here (TODO)', 'Deferred',
'Limitations (MVP)', 'Known limitations (tracked TODOs)', ...) are normalized
into the canonical heading.
A new doc-sync gate, scripts/verify-readme-limitations.ts, enforces the shape:
exactly one limitations-like heading per package README, byte-equal to the
canonical h2, with at least one bullet; near-miss headings fail so variants
cannot creep back. Packages with genuinely nothing to declare (dsh-brand,
dsh-timeout, dsh-subagent-mock, dsh-app-boot) are whitelisted in the script and
must NOT carry the section; whitelist entries are validated against the scanned
package set so a rename fails loud.
Wired into the doc-sync chain (package.json) and the run-gates doc-sync leaf
set; the standing rule lands in packages/AGENTS.md and the adding-a-package
cookbook; decision record in
docs/rfc/implemented/process/2026-07-10-readme-known-limitations-gate.md
(RFC index regenerated).
Also fixes two stale '(deferred)' markers claiming dsh-compact-basic is
unimplemented (the dsh-compact seam README's package table and the seam's
module doc comment).
The three-entry cordis.yml (dsh-sandbox-local + dsh-bash-sandbox at a
read-only default + dsh-approval) served over ACP: the first live approval
composition. Recorded snapshot scenarios pin the wire end to end —
config-options advertisement, the mode-switching arc as the suite pinned
header (both switches, the prompt-section delta, one changed-by-the-user
notice per knob, a confined write landing under the switched mode), and
both escalation branches over scripted permissionAnswers (a grant runs
confined under workspace-write; a rejection executes nothing and pins the
fail-closed text). The with-key escalation e2e drives a real model +
real runner + the real bridge answerer, world-verified; ci.yml snapshot
lane and e2e.yml install bubblewrap so the confined replays actually
execute.
Both RFCs move to implemented/ (Decision/Consequences form, deferred
phases tracked in their own sections), with every cross-reference flipped.
