63fecf2534 fix: name run_code's required description argument in its model-facing prose
The transport schema requires both `code` and `description`, but the tool
description and both SDK instruction flavors described the call as passing a
program. `description` was reachable only through the parameter schema, so a
model following the prose emitted `{code}` alone and lost the whole written
program to an INVALID_ARGS rejection.

The length and format guidance stays in RUN_CODE_DESCRIPTION_PARAM_DESCRIPTION
alone, so the schema and the prompt cannot drift.

e258cf7a2d fix(tools): resolve the collapse through the scope, not the deployment default
`collapses()` read `defaultMode`, so the collapse only applied when the
DEPLOYMENT was `code`. An agent handed `code` by an agent preset under a
native default announced `[run_code]` on the wire and still executed a
model-direct native call -- the bypass this collapse exists to close,
reopened for exactly the composition `dsh-agent-tool-mode` produces.

`modeFor(scope)` is the same resolution `wireSchemas` and the SDK section
already use, so presentation and execution cannot disagree, and a mode
inherited from a standing preset scope collapses like a declared one.

The per-agent and preset tests asserted only the wire, which is why the
regression passed them. They now assert through the executor: the body
never runs, the call resolves UNKNOWN_TOOL, and the native sibling beside
it still executes.

5d2c943d38 fix(tools): state the code-mode collapse in the prompt and the denial
The executor collapse landed without telling the model it exists. Every
tool contributes its own guidance section naming its tool, none of them
qualify how that tool is reached, and they all render before the SDK
(orders 100-199 against SDK_SECTION_ORDER 150), so the prompt said "Use
the read tool" eleven times and never said only run_code is callable.

A real session shows the consequence: the model emitted a native call,
read `unknown tool "read"` for a tool the same prompt declares, and
concluded the deployment was inconsistent rather than routing through
run_code.

The registry now contributes `tools:code-only` at order 99 -- ahead of
the guidance band -- stating the rule, registered wherever `tools:sdk`
is and rendering empty outside an effective `code`. `both` renders it
empty because its native calls do execute, which is also why
both-mode-turn no longer shares code-mode-turn's expected prompt. The
denial itself now names the route back, since a bare UNKNOWN_TOOL for a
declared tool is what misled the model.

executor resolved every call through get(), which returns the full visible
map plus the reserved transport. A model could name a native tool directly
and bypass run_code entirely. Route the execution-path lookups through a
new private resolveExecution() that applies the mode collapse at the
operation boundary: model-direct calls under 'code' may only name run_code
(UNKNOWN_TOOL otherwise), while SDK sub-dispatches (parent token set) keep
every visible tool. get()/schemas() public semantics are unchanged.

The denial happens at createExecution, before the extensible policy
pipeline — pre-execute listeners, approval ask, and guards never observe
a call that is deterministically denied. A collapsed call honors the
pre-dispatch cancellation contract, routes aborted results through the
visible tool's finalizeContent, and captures the finalizer before
argument materialization.

Regenerated docs, catalogs, graphs, scoped events, re-recorded
translation pairs, and updated test assertions.

2aef2d83fa fix(tools): remove tool:* prompt filtering per review feedback
LegGasai noted that filtering prompt sections by tool:* prefix is a poor
heuristic: it conflates section naming convention with presentation
semantics and would incorrectly drop tool:structured_output. The executor
collapse already enforces the boundary — a model-direct native call is
rejected as UNKNOWN_TOOL regardless of what the prompt says, so filtering
the prompt adds no security and only risks losing useful guidance.

The tool:read/tool:bash/etc sections describe capability usage patterns
that apply to both native and code presentations, and keeping them does
not reopen the native direct-call path because the executor blocks it.

Generated docs (`module-graph`, `event-producer-consumer`) taken from master
and regenerated. The `cordis-inspect-jsdoc` golden likewise: master's copy is
the base, and this branch's `presentAs` per-scope rewording is re-applied on
top, since `cordis_inspect` renders that JSDoc into model-visible output.

Hook bypassed as before: the staged-pairing check hands an archived note path
to `verify-translation-pairing`. The full-corpus gate passes.

Master moved peerDependencies to `workspace:^`; this branch's two added peers
(`dsh-agent`, `dsh-system-prompt`) take the same form. `docs/module-graph.*`
is generated; regenerated after the merge.

check hands an archived note path to `verify-translation-pairing`. The
full-corpus gate passes.

2c85c484d3 build(release): reference workspace members through the workspace protocol
1504 hand-written ranges pointing at workspace members become workspace:^, so
pnpm pack substitutes each member's real version at publication: sibling
peerDependencies follow the family version instead of being pinned at ^0.0.1,
and a reference to a vendored package follows that package's own line. Without
this, publishing 0.0.2 ships peer ranges naming a version that does not exist,
and 0.0.1-rc.1 does not satisfy ^0.0.1 either.

It also retires ranges that had gone stale against the workspace: ^4.0.0-rc.6
for a 4.0.0-rc.7 checkout, ^3.17.0 for schemastery 3.18.0.

workspace:* stays where an exact published version is the point, which is how
the Landlock entry pins its platform packages.

A workspace constraint now requires the protocol, so a new package cannot
reintroduce a hand-written range. The same constraint caught packages/boot/cmdline
arriving on master without the publishable trio, which this change completes.

97eb14a007 build(release): make the release set publishable under the private scope
Every package under packages/, apps/, and vendor/ drops "private": true and
declares publishConfig.access "restricted": the repository now states which
packages it publishes instead of deciding it at publish time. Each one also
declares its repository and directory, which is how a consumer of a private
package reaches its source.

The Landlock packages move to restricted with them. They have never been
published, so nothing anonymous depends on them today, and the whole
@deepseek-ai scope stays private.

The workspace constraint that required every package to be private now applies
to non-members only, and asserts the publishable trio on each release member.

The vendored Cordis rescope (`cordis` -> `@deepseek-ai/cordis`,
`@cordisjs/plugin-*` -> `@deepseek-ai/cordis-plugin-*`) collided with this
branch's two added edges. Resolved by taking master's package names and
keeping this branch's additions: `@deepseek-ai/dsh-agent` and
`@deepseek-ai/dsh-system-prompt` peers, the `scopeChainOf` import, and the
`agent/created` type-only edge.

`docs/event-producer-consumer.*` is generated; regenerated after the merge
rather than hand-resolved.

1cfbafab6a fix(preset): keep the token meter host-plane and name unjoined agents
Moving the agent plane behind presets left two readers on the wrong side of
the host/agent line.

`dsh-token-meter` was disabled on the host and mounted inside each preset's
`compaction` realm, but its three projection units register into the
process-wide `sessionProjections` table. A unit registered from one preset
answers for every session, so whether a `minimal` session showed a context
meter depended on whether some other session had mounted `standard` since
boot, and a process that only ever ran `minimal` showed none. The meter takes
no configuration, keys every fold by Session, and registers no tool or prompt
section, so it returns to the host composition and leaves the presets'
`isolate` map; the realm and `compact-basic` stay, because what a preset
chooses is whether its agent compacts, not whether its tokens are counted.

Nothing named an agent that joined no preset. The join is a scope-parent link,
and without it the tools, prompt-section, and skill views resolve the empty
global layer: the agent publishes, the turn runs, and the model receives
nothing. `AgentPresets` now logs one warning per such agent while a roster is
configured, and the invariant companion fails outright — at
`system-prompt/assemble` rather than at publication, because an unjoined agent
is legal until it addresses a model and `recompose` binds exactly such an
agent. The warning stays advisory: a synchronous `agent/created` throw vetoes
publication, and the ACP bridge, SDK server, and headless bundle all create an
unjoined agent today.

Three limits are recorded rather than fixed: projection key presence is not a
per-session capability signal, a superseded standing generation is never
reclaimed, and a `cordis_mount` temporary plugin belongs to the composition
rather than the session that mounted it.

ec601ca13d build(vendor): rescope the vendored Cordis packages into @deepseek-ai
Machine-produced by `pnpm run rescope-vendor --apply` plus the regeneration it
prints: `pnpm install` for the lockfile, `pnpm run gen-third-party-notices`,
`verify-translation-pairing --write` for the touched bilingual pairs,
`gen-doc-graphs`, and one typert snapshot whose ids embed character offsets.
`pnpm run rescope-vendor --check` verifies the result.

Renames nine vendored packages (cordis, cosmokit, schemastery and the six
@cordisjs plugins) and every reference that resolves them: manifest names and
dependency keys, module specifiers including declare-module merges, cordis.yml
plugin names, tsconfig paths, every Markdown fence, and `docs/` prose.
Directory names, upstream versions, and dependency ranges are unchanged, so
vendor/README.md still reads as an upstream snapshot; its manifest table gains
an upstream-name column so THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES keeps MIT attribution pointed
at each fork's origin.

The tutorial tier follows the rename end to end: its yaml fences named plugins
the Loader can no longer resolve, its `ts ignore-check` fences disagreed with
the compiled fences beside them, and its prose quoted both. The contracts that
told readers to keep upstream names — the root convention and the vendoring
cookbook's tree comment and manifest invariant — now say to rescope instead.

Two rules read `@deepseek-ai/` as "another workspace plugin": the client bundle
purity gate now names the vendored libraries a browser bundle inlines, and the
files where a bare `cordis` is an agent-preset id keep that product data.

43f3324a7b fix(tools): restrict what a scope inherits, not just the global layer
A restriction was compiled against the global tool layer alone: only
global-layer tools were tested against `admits()`, and every chain-layer
tool was overlaid unfiltered afterward. That read the exempt set as "the
global layer" when what it means is "what this scope registers itself" —
two descriptions of the same set only while every model-facing tool sat in
the host composition.

Moving those rows onto the agent plane separated them. A preset's tools are
an ANCESTOR contribution to a joined agent, so a subagent's `toolFilter`
stopped constraining anything it was given; and with the global layer empty
`restrict()` rejected every name it received as unknown, failing the child
outright. With the same tools in the global layer the filter still admits
and applies normally, which is what makes this a regression of the move
rather than a standing limitation.

`view()` now filters everything a scope inherits — the global layer and
every ancestor layer on its chain — and exempts only the layer the scope
owns. That exemption is load-bearing rather than incidental: the delegation
runtime registers a child's `report` and structured-output tools into the
child's own layer, and a filter naming the capabilities the child may use
must not strip the machinery it answers through. Tool order, and with it
prefix-cache reuse, is unchanged: inherited names keep their global-then-
ancestor position and own-layer names still come last.

The diagnostic said "unknown global tool" while listing what is really the
inherited surface; it now names the surface it checks and says why an
own-layer name is not restrictable.

1861a3fc7c feat(fs): add a minimal read_image tool over the attachment and fs seams
The model reads a PNG/JPEG/WebP/GIF file, the bytes commit through the
durable attachment lifecycle, and the tool result carries the real
ImageBlock so the image enters context from the next request onward.
FileSystem gains a bounded readBytes primitive (local + E2B providers);
registration is conditional on the attachment store, and a strict
execution gate refuses routes that do not declare image input, so a
text route's durable history stays free of image blocks. llm-replay
models may declare inputModalities, letting keyless ACP snapshots pin
both the sha256-referenced success and the verbatim refusal.

Supersedes the withdrawn route-scoped design of PR #598; the decision
record is .agents/notes/implemented/feature/2026-08-10-minimal-read-image-tool.md.
