Retarget the pruning feature onto the merged compaction foundation.

Adapt content-only tool-result rewrite validation to the session-owned surface manager, migrate the demo wiring to repl-agent, and refresh generated type, catalog, and website contracts while preserving pressure and overflow pruning behavior.

1f38b211be Merge origin/master (generic task runtime #219, single-exe closure, package renames)
Semantic resolutions beyond line merges:
- The bash seam keeps resolveMode + the bash/resolve-mode waterfall on
  master's task-free BashExecutor (run/start/resolve only; BashProcess
handles); tool-bash consults it at its stamping site and escalation
baseline on master's render/background split, with a waterfall test on
  the recording executor.
- dsh-mode's BASH_FAMILY narrows to ['bash']: bash_output/bash_kill are
replaced by the kind-generic task_output/task_kill, which span every
task kind and only observe or stop work, so the access cap withholds
only the starter it can reason about.
- The plan-mode snapshot suite adopts master's pin grammar (tool-schema
sidecars; the expectedHeaderSnapshots extension is gone — the exit
transition deltas, and entering-before-turn-1 needs no second
snapshot); modes-advertise joins the plan header class (no-model, so
  membership is vacuous). Fixtures re-recorded on the acp-demo bin;
the replay overlay gains the passthrough sandbox runner.
- examples/plan-acp-agent rewires to @deepseek-ai/dsh-acp-demo and drops
its tool-bash entry (the spine bundle now composes it); dsh-stdio (the
renamed stdio-chat home) keeps its /mode command and gains the dsh-mode
peer edge; the acp bridge keeps the modes surface beside master's
  permission presets.
- mode README gains the Model Experience / Known Limitations sections the
new README gates require; AGENTS.md ceiling 1370 → 1440 for the kept
mode/ layout line and Agent efficiency section.

88db403d9f Merge branch 'worktree-session-modes-rfc' (master: sandbox stack #169, skills #109, prompt snapshots #254)
The stack rebases onto a moved master through its base branch. Beyond
mechanical unions (both branches' demo scripts, example rows, service
roles, tool lists, acp deps, doc budgets — each side fit alone, the
union needs the higher ceilings), three semantic reconciliations:

- The ACP bridge now carries BOTH per-session surfaces: the sandbox
stack's config options + approval answerer and this branch's session
modes; session/new and session/load advertise modes AND configOptions
  side by side.
- The feature matrix supersedes the sandbox stance per the RFC's
  second-lander rule: session/set_mode and current_mode_update flip to
shipped-by-dsh-mode, config-option rows stay as #169 wrote them, and
§6 records both landed features under the picker-to-modes /
  knobs-to-config-options division.
- The snapshot pin grammar (#254: one header snapshot + declared deltas
+ a Markdown prompt golden) gains a symmetric declaration for what a
delta cannot express: expectedHeaderSnapshots — a plan-mode flip
resorts the canonical tool list, so its widening lands as a second
full snapshot, now its own Markdown section. The pin-less-class and
model-turn-only-pin amendments carry over; new fixtures cover the
extended writer paths, and the plan-acp-agent scenarios re-recorded
under the merged composition (the app now bundles the skill tool)
with the suite's refresh mode wired through.

ca39fd89b0 feat(example): sandbox-acp-agent — the live composition; RFCs to implemented
The three-entry cordis.yml (dsh-sandbox-local + dsh-bash-sandbox at a
read-only default + dsh-approval) served over ACP: the first live approval
composition. Recorded snapshot scenarios pin the wire end to end —
config-options advertisement, the mode-switching arc as the suite pinned
header (both switches, the prompt-section delta, one changed-by-the-user
notice per knob, a confined write landing under the switched mode), and
both escalation branches over scripted permissionAnswers (a grant runs
confined under workspace-write; a rejection executes nothing and pins the
fail-closed text). The with-key escalation e2e drives a real model +
real runner + the real bridge answerer, world-verified; ci.yml snapshot
lane and e2e.yml install bubblewrap so the confined replays actually
execute.

Both RFCs move to implemented/ (Decision/Consequences form, deferred
phases tracked in their own sections), with every cross-reference flipped.

kingwl
3f663c9154 feat(modes): per-session sandbox/approval switching — the session log as the store, ACP config options
effective(session) = findLast(the session own knob events)?.value ?? the
composition-config default. One log-only event per knob, owned by its
domain (bash/sandbox-mode in dsh-bash, approval/policy in dsh-approval),
each exporting the same three-piece kit: the event declaration, a pure
fold, and THE write path — a switch IS its event; no owner service, no
facts map. Restart immunity and multi-session isolation fall out of the
log replay by construction.

Execution follows the fold on both sides: the bash tool stamps
escalation grant > session override > executor default, and the approval
seam prepends the never-gate that auto-rejects before any interactive
answerer. Visibility is two layers per knob: a per-agent prompt section
states the effective value on every request (logged through
request/header*, so what-the-model-was-told replays from the log), and an
agent/pre-step narrator injects at most one coalesced delta notice with
positional attribution (user switch vs operator/config drift). The ACP
bridge advertises one capability-gated select per composable knob with
currentValue folded per session, validates set_config_option against the
closed vocabularies, and anchors idle switches at the next turn
prompt-submit under the turn-enclosure contract.
2026-07-10 15:44:38 +08:00

80d8726601 feat(acp): the bridge approval answerer + scripted permission answers
The ACP bridge registers the first real approval answerer: an ask for an
agent it owns becomes session/request_permission attached to the already-
streamed tool call (one-shot allow_once/reject_once only), outcomes map
conservatively (unknown optionId never grants, client cancel → cancelled),
and foreign or call-less requests delegate down the waterfall. The snapshot
harness accepts scripted permissionAnswers (FIFO; an unscripted prompt
answers cancelled, fail closed) so recorded scenarios can drive the wire
keylessly.

5a8e3a14ee docs(rfc): plan mode to implemented — amendments folded on the way
The proposal survives contact with the code with three amendments, per
the RFCs-are-proposals rule. (1) A mode transition logs a
request/header-delta only when expressible: adding exit_plan_mode
resorts the canonical tool list, and a pure reordering has no delta
form, so entering plan mode logs the full fallback snapshot — the
attributability claim holds either way. (2) The proposed/ skeleton
converts to the implemented grammar: Proposal → Decision, the roadmap's
staging (now history) drops to the standing Deferred list, and
Acceptance criteria + Risks fold into Consequences (what holds, then the
accepted costs, including the ACP v2 mode-removal migration). (3) The
two recorded scenarios stay pending a with-key session, recorded in
Deferred.

The docs tail completes: the cookbook's plan-mode row upgrades from
sketch to the shipped package, architecture.md gains the ctx.modes
capability row (ceiling 1640 → 1650: a new capability service's table
row does not fit the old budget), and every reference repoints to
implemented/.

edc065666f feat(mode): exit_plan_mode + the ACP session-mode picker + scriptable review answers
Plan mode's stage 2 (RFC 2026-07-07-plan-mode). The exit tool: one
required plan argument (the durable log artifact), execute re-checks the
folded mode, then conducts the review over the user-interaction seam —
one single-select question (Approve / Keep planning) with free text open
— so an approval appends mode/set back to default in-turn and every
other outcome (keep-planning feedback verbatim, aborted, no provider)
returns the corrective isError with the mode unchanged. presentCall is a
generic card titled by the plan's first heading carrying the plan
markdown; over ACP the review rides the ask_user elicitation flow, in
the terminal the stdio prompt queue — no approval-seam dependency.

The ACP bridge maps the picker 1:1 onto ctx.modes (opportunistic, a
type-only peer edge): session/new + session/load advertise
availableModes/currentModeId, session/set_mode validates through set()
and echoes an optimistic current_mode_update (the pending mode IS the
selection; the logged mode/set lands at the boundary and, matching, is
not re-sent), and a session/event listener re-notifies on each logged
flip that differs from the last sent — the tool-driven exit updates the
picker. The feature matrix rows move from 'not modeled' to the
picker-to-modes / knobs-to-config-options division, with the ACP v2
removal direction recorded as a mechanical-migration risk.

The snapshot harness gains the setMode/setModeExpectError ops and a
scripted elicitationAnswers FIFO (cancel on exhaustion; a stray choice
string reaches the agent verbatim as a non-consenting custom answer, so
a scenario bug fails safe). The suite factory's header-pin requirement
now applies only to model-turn scenarios — a protocol-only suite has no
header content to anchor. examples/plan-acp-agent is the live
composition; its keyless modes-advertise scenario pins the wire surface
(advertisement, both set_mode round-trips, unknown-id rejection). The
recorded plan-mode approve/reject arc awaits a with-key recording
session; its texts are pinned at the unit tier meanwhile.

examples/AGENTS.md ceiling 653 → 680: the new example's required smoke
row does not fit the old budget.

4036300353 refactor(acp): trim unreachable bridge surface (branding knobs, kind-sniffing fallback)
Two pieces of dsh-acp surface were unreachable from any shipped config:

- AcpConfig.agentName/agentVersion: the app package hands the bridge only
{ model, systemPrompt }, so no leaf cordis.yml could set them; they were
settable only by direct-mounting the bridge (a unit test). Hardcode
agentInfo at the initialize site and delete the fields, their schema
defaults, the ?? fallbacks, and the TODO(double-default) whose subject
vanishes. The handshake wire value is unchanged (all snapshot initialize
  lines byte-identical).

- The toolKindFor name heuristic special-cased bash*/read*/write/edit*
names in the generic-fallback path, violating the bridge's own design
rule ("the bridge never special-cases tool names"). Every first-party
tool ships its kind via presentCall; the fallback now renders the
neutral kind 'other'. The fallback is reachable when a presentCall
throws OR when model args fail the tool schema (defineTool's presentCall
wrapper returns undefined on violations) — the latter shows up in one
committed golden (hook-codex-posttool-block: three bash calls missing
the required description), whose kind cells flip execute->other. That
3-line golden refresh is the whole transcript delta.

The empty-arguments branch of parseToolArguments lost its only exercise
with the deleted heuristic test; it is live behavior (JSON.parse('')
throws, so the guard is what renders a zero-arg call as rawInput {}), so
it gets a dedicated pin instead of deletion.

RFC moved to docs/rfc/implemented/simplification/ and amended to shipped
reality: fallback reachability includes schema-invalid args, and the
golden churn is exactly the three kind cells (the original zero-churn
claim held only for the branding half).

da1d7f281d docs(tools): DiffResultView.diffs may be a whole-file diff, not only hunks
The write-diff-card fix made write's presentResult return an args-derived
whole-file diff (oldText:null) for a create / unchanged overwrite, but the
DiffResultView contract and its mirrored docs still said `diffs` is ALWAYS
the applied contextual hunks computed from before/after. Correct the type
JSDoc, the write execute-side comment, and the four mirrored surfaces
(tools.md, tools README, acp-feature-support, adding-a-tool cookbook) to
say: typically the applied hunks, or a whole-file diff when there is no
before-image (a create) — and that a mutation returns the diff result even
when it duplicates the call-time card, since a tool_call_update.content
replace would otherwise clobber the diff with the model-facing text.
Regenerate the cordis catalog (source line shift).

d8fd3225af feat(tool-fs): result-time applied-hunk diffs for write/edit
fs write/edit now emit a result-time contextual-diff tool_call_update
(the applied hunk with ±3 context lines, one hunk per replace_all site),
matching what claude-agent-acp sends and what makes an editor render the
change in place. The call-time snippet diff stays; the result hunk
supersedes it (ACP content-replace).

Mechanism:
- A persisted tool-private `meta` channel: execute may return
`{ content, meta }`; `meta` (JsonValue) rides on the tool/result event
and is handed back to presentResult, so the diff reproduces on replay
(event-sourced). JsonValue is now exported from dsh-session.
- The backend returns raw before/after text (storage facts) on
FsWriteOutcome/FsEditOutcome; the tool computes the hunk via the npm
`diff` package's structuredPatch. A create has no before → no result
diff; a failed/aborted mutation carries no meta.
- ToolResultView gains a DiffResultView; the bridge's result-side switch
renders it as {type:'diff'} content blocks.

RFC: docs/rfc/implemented/architecture/2026-07-02-result-time-applied-hunk-diffs.md
(justifies the npm `diff` runtime dep over vendoring and the meta channel);
the render-intent-union RFC's Non-goal is updated to record this shipped.
All fs snapshot goldens re-recorded; edit/overwrite gain the contextual
result diff, create/read/policy-reject unchanged in structure.

1a57d67058 refactor(tools): tagged render-intent union for tool-call presentation
Replace the "bag of optional fields" tool-presentation types
(ToolCallPresentation / ToolResultPresentation / ToolTerminal) with a
card-tagged discriminated union — the standing FIXME(tool-presentation).
A tool declares one render intent per call/result and the ACP bridge
switches on `card`:

  ToolCallView   = generic | terminal | diff
  ToolResultView = generic | terminal

The `diff` card is new: fs write/edit now emit an ACP {type:'diff'}
content block (an editor's inline diff), which the old shapes could not
express. The bridge also relativizes a file card's title against the
session cwd (mirroring claude-agent-acp's toDisplayPath) while keeping
locations/diff paths raw, and derives the no-capability fenced console
fallback from a terminal result's output. read gains the window-in-title
(`Read foo.txt (5 - 8)`) and an always-set location line, matching the
reference adapter field-for-field.

Migrates all three producer families (tool-fs, tool-bash, tool-todo) and
the sole consumer (the ACP bridge) together — the source does not compile
piecewise. Adds snapshot coverage for the terminal _meta path (a new
capability-advertising scenario) and re-records the fs goldens to show the
diff cards. Applied-hunk (result-time, context-line) diffs need a new
result/event shape and are a follow-up.

bd7fb31ae3 feat(tool-fs): editor-facing presentation for read/write/edit
The fs tools rendered as generic cards (title = tool name, raw file content) in
an ACP editor. Give them tool-owned presentation like bash/subagent have:

- read → title "Read <path>", kind read, offset/limit as rawInput
- write → title "Write <path>", kind edit
- edit → title "Edit <path>", kind edit, a clipped old→new rawInput summary

Add a provider-neutral `locations: { path, line? }[]` to ToolCallPresentation —
the files a call reads/modifies — so a capable editor can follow along / jump to
the file (read carries its offset as the line). The ACP bridge forwards it onto
the wire `tool_call` (ResolvedCallPresentation + call() + the tool_call build in
streamSessionEventUpdate). This flips the `locations` cell in the ACP feature
matrix to supported. The SDK already carries `tool_call.locations`
(ToolCallLocation `{ path, line? }`), so no ACP types leak into dsh-tools.

presentResult is intentionally omitted: it only receives `{ content, isError }`,
not the write/edit outcome, so titling by create-vs-overwrite or replacement
count would mean parsing the model-facing text — the static title stays.

Tests: pure presentCall assertions for all three tools incl. locations and the
edit rawInput clip; a bridge test drives the REAL fs tools through ToolPresenter
and asserts locations reaches the wire tool_call (proven to fail without the
forwarding line). New withFs harness option + dsh-fs devDeps on dsh-acp.

2eb6ad3260 fix review findings: sync stale v1/removed-event doc references
Codex's re-confirmation pass verified both blocker fixes correct but found
doc/comment drift the fix commit missed:

- session/index.ts + session/README.md: "minimal v1 header" → "minimal header
(stamped with the current SESSION_FORMAT_VERSION)" — the version is 0, not 1.
- session/index.ts deriveMessages comment listed "usage, and errors" as trace
data — those standalone events no longer exist; only boundaries + chunks are.
- session-persistence RFC: "no v1 migration" → the pinned-v0 pre-release stance.
- collapse-trace-only RFC format-version note: reframed off the "bump the
version and reject" wording (which now reads as the OTHER AGENTS.md stance)
onto the pinned-0 unstable stance the session log actually uses.
- agent-loop/loop.ts finishError JSDoc: "with a logged `error` event" → the
failure is recorded on turn/end.reason (no standalone error event).
- acp/acp-feature-support.md (two spots): usage is recorded on assistant/message
now, not as standalone internal usage events.
- Regenerate the cordis catalog (finishError JSDoc line shift).

ca2207e26c Fix doc cross-links for the hierarchy; add package-path + shape gates
Merge brought in the RFC-classification reorg and two new doc gates;
rewrite every drifted packages/<name> cross-link (Markdown link targets,
moved-README relative depths, and .ts comment paths) to the grouped paths.

Add two doc-sync/hygiene gates so the manual checks this restructure
needed become automated:
- verify-package-paths.ts: flags a packages/<path> reference (in Markdown
or a .ts comment/string) that does not resolve AND names a real package
  in a segment — i.e. a stale path to a MOVED package. A path naming a
non-existent package (a forward-looking proposal) is left alone, so it
  applies uniformly across proposed/implemented/rejected.
- check-workspace-constraints: assert the packages/<group>/<pkg> depth-2
shape (group dirs carry no package.json; no flat or over-nested
packages). Group names stay open; only the shape is fixed.

d02e9f1bd6 Reorganize packages into a modular hierarchy
Move the 18 flat packages/<name> packages into role-grouped dirs:
core/, llm/, bash/, session-persistence/, ui/, support/. Group dirs are
pure containers; each package keeps its @deepseek-ai/dsh-* name.

Collapse the per-package tsconfig paths maps (base + typecheck) into one
@deepseek-ai/dsh-* wildcard with a candidate per group, and derive the
publint list from the hierarchy. Update all depth-coupled globs/configs
(workspace, tsdown, vitest, eslint, knip, tsconfig includes/refs,
per-package tsconfigs, generators, doc-script scopes, type-equiv manifest)
and the cross-package/script relative imports in tests.

Fix doc-typecheck's workspacePaths() to parse tsconfig JSONC via the
TypeScript API instead of a regex comment-strip, which corrupted the
new wildcard `/*/` path candidates.

WIP: doc cross-links and package/RFC docs still to update.
